No it's not a typo. So I played a gig in hackney last night. Yeah that's right, I'm proper cool and hard. It was proper fun and there were quite a lot of people there. This is a shout out to the noisy champagne drinkers for when you get round to accessing my website. Left the gig (after 4 free drinks at the free bar) in typical adam style, just about 5 minutes too late to get the last train home, so ended up shambling in a slightly worse for wear fashion to get on a bus (ANY BUS!!) out of clapton and back to the leafy safety of WEST SIDE.
Ended up not very much closer (at finsbury park), but just grateful to be able to get a tube, and home about half past twelve. Exhausted and having done some sort of finger damage to my right hand with my enthusiastic strumming technique. The other band (the park bench) were fun and looked after me which was cool. Played some new album stuff and some old stuff which was great. Pluinging my newly injured right hand into hot water to do last night's washing up this morning was NOT cool. In fact it was HOT.
Album wise I am now talking to a very nice producer about working his magic on my starting-to-sound-surprisingly-cool stuff so hopefully I should be able to hit my target of end of January for getting everything finished. Ian if you're reading this can you give me some dates please? :)
Also I need a room as our lease runs out in the next few weeks and I am getting too old to be living in a room the size of a shoebox so if anyone knows anyone who has something going in west london, please let me know quick! Or if you want to deputise yourselves into the search you're very welcome to go on the various sites and help me find somewhere!
Feel like i've burned the candle at both ends a bit this week. Ready for bed, but instead I think I'll have some lunch and go and spend my next voucher. Happy January everyone
